Our Services
3D - CBCT
Cone Beam CT scans (CBCT Scans) provide high resolution, 3D volumetric images, used in different fields of dentistry allowing for more accurate analysis of bone structure and teeth orientation. The accuracy of a CBCT scan is comparable to medical CT scans but uses a much lower radiation dose but with the added advantage of greater accuracy of bone structures and their orientation. The time for a dental CBCT scan is just twenty seconds.

1. OPG
An Orthopantomogram x-ray (OPG x-ray) is a wide-view, panoramic x-ray of the patients upper and law jaw, and associated dentition from root to crown, in a single image – which is not possible with periapical or Bite-wing x-rays.
Indications of OPG
- Advanced Periodontal Disease
- Cysts in the Jaw bones
- Jaw Tumors and Oral Cancer
- Sinusitis
- Impacted teeth including wisdom teeth
- Jaw disorders (also known as temporomandibular joint or TMJ disorders)
- Planning of Orthodontic treatment
2. LATERAL CEPHALOGRAM
A Cephalometric x-ray (CEPH x-ray) consists of a lateral/side-view x-ray of the face also referred to as Lat CEPH. As with an OPG X-ray a CEPH radiograph is used to study facial bone and soft tissue landmarks and is used in patients being considered for orthodontic treatment.
- Survey the skull and facial bones for evidence of disease, trauma, developmental abnormalities.
- Planning of orthodontic treatment and for assessing head growth.
- Anterior/posterior walls of the frontal and maxillary sinuses, nasopharyngeal soft tissues, paranasal sinuses and hard palate
3. Scan TMJ
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a complex structure connecting your jawbone to your skull. A 2D scan, like an X-ray, provides a two-dimensional image, while a 3D scan, like a CT scan or MRI, offers a more detailed three-dimensional view. These scans help diagnose TMJ disorders by revealing any abnormalities in the joint, such as inflammation, damage, or misalignments .

He has passed his BDS from Terna Dental College, Navi Mumbai in 2018 and completed his MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in the year 2022 with distinction. He is a Consulting Endodontist in South Mumbai and is currently associated with a renowned dental college as an Assistant Professor. Along with academic excellence and clinical expertise, he has a passion for teaching and a keen interest in research and development. He is constantly involved in scientific researches, clinical trials and paper presentations. Dr. Musharraf also has a vision to provide dentists with the best technologies and recent advances the field can offer in order to serve patients with the best dental care to uplift the dental practice in India.
Dr. Vinayak Umesh Shirsekar
ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL RADIOLOGIST
He is the Director and chief radiologist at Fredna Dental Solutions Private Limited and DentX3D. He has undergone advanced training in CBCT and Integrated Implantology in Germany in 2016. He along with his team of radiologists has been actively involved in CBCT reporting of around 35 centers all over the globe since 2013. Keeping up with the advances he also runs a 3D printing unit in Lower Parel. He is a prolific speaker on CBCT and has conducted several lectures and courses. He is actively involved in research and has numerous publications to his name.
Dr. Pratik Dedhia (M.D.S)
ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL RADIOLOGIST
Dr Pratik Dedhia is our in-house maxillofacial radiologist and is also one of the first few maxillofacial radiologists in India having hands on clinical experience with the use and applications of CBCT technology. He is an 2009 postgraduate from prestigious Nair dental college and hospital, Mumbai. Also, he has an enormous reporting experience of 15 years with maxillofacial CBCT imaging. He has contributed to a number of scientific presentations and publications on case studies in oral and maxillofacial imaging and radiodiagnosis.
He is currently the chief Radiologist for numerous CBCT centres across mumbai, Pune and Kalyan.
Our Technology
The heart of our CBCT centers are the latest Dentsply Sirona Orthophos SL in the Bhiwandi center and the Carestream 9600 in the Mazgaon center. Both machines are acknowledged to be the best in their class and have outstanding image quality that produces sharp images with a minimally low dose of radiation. The distinctive features of these machines include a unique DCS sensor, MARS (metal artifact reduction sequence), autopositioning, autopad, optimum FOV, etc. Along with unparalleled technology, Scan2PLAN provides complete maxillofacial radiology under one roof.

It is recent development in dental radiology that provides 3Dimensional, high definition and 1:1 images of maxillofacial skeleton. CBCT uses a single rotation for exposure, whereas CT uses multiple rotations. As a result radiation dose in very less in CBCT as compared to CT.
